Fire Control Technician (FT):  FTs maintain the electronic equipment used in submarine weapons systems.  FTs are responsible for the operation, routine care and repair of the complex electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment required to ensure the accuracy of Navy guided-missile systems and underwater weapons. A six-year enlistment was required.
